Line tracking vehicle
Week 3 of the year 2 project
Project: Line tracking vehicle using Raspberry Pi Pico
The third week was almost all about testing. We uploaded the control code to the microcontroller, and we took our time testing it further to ensure it’s working as expected for the operation of the motor control and the sensors' response (we also had the sensors assembled to the chassis on the same lab day). All hardware components were connected according to the circuit design, and we believed the project was ready for testing and evaluation.
We faced some problems regarding the code during the code testing phase, and decided that minor debugging must be done, as the vehicle wasn’t moving as intended, and also, we saw that some sensor readings need to be calibrated just to ensure accuracy. So we decided to work on it next week, and didn’t conduct the final project test.
